The Elemental Engine Room

Clevertouch solutions are used in museums for interactive presentations, educational applications, digital signage and as part of larger AV systems. They are used around the world, especially in developed museum countries, to make exhibitions more interactive and attractive to visitors, supporting the educational goals of museums.

An example of a recent AV installation is Historic Silver Mine, Poland, Silesia voivodeship, Tarnowskie Góry.

An Extraordinary Educational Centre

The Elemental Engine Room is an extraordinary educational centre dedicated to the elements that have shaped our world for centuries. In the foreground is the fascinating history of water - this important source of life, which not only plays a key role in our everyday life but also has an extremely important meaning in the historical context. This place reminds us of the times when water from Tarnowskie Góry became an indispensable resource for the developing Upper Silesian conurbation. It is also a space for the so-called ecological education. The latest technologies and innovations that make life easier are designed to shape everyday habits and behaviours thanks to which we can take care of our environment. And in a very innovative way. Karlik and Gwarek take you on a journey in the footsteps of the elements (with an emphasis on water). The characters were created after the game Minecraft, popular among children.

Cleverlive System – Inside the Capsule

This is where many solutions from the well-known AV brand Clevertouch have been installed. Immediately upon entering the building on the left side, visitors to the centre are greeted by the so-called Capsule. This is a small cinema room. When a group of viewers gathers inside, electrically operated blinds are lowered, and material about the elements and ecology in various aspects is presented. The playback of the material is managed by the Clevertouch PICO XI digital signage player, connected to a laser projector, controlled by a Cleverlive system.

The fact that the player can be connected to not only Clevertouch's monitor, provides much more functionality and capability to the whole platform. We can connect it not only to third-party monitors but also to other display devices, such as a projector.

A quick walk-through

  • Slightly further up, on the upper level, the Clevertouch CM Pro 55" screen is mounted. These solutions can be mounted both horizontally or vertically. The screen has a built-in digital signage system so that we can fully manage the displayed content via the Cleverlive platform.

  • In the central area on the lower floor, five large-format monitors and interactive screens take centre stage. Five 86" digital signage monitors from the CM Pro series, capable of 16/7 operation. This configuration is truly MASSIVE and quite impressive! With these monitors, the whole space has a very multimedia feel that will interest any young visitor to the venue. After all, that should be the purpose of monitors used in such venues. To achieve the effect of a video wall and to combine the screens into one huge image, PROV4 players were used. Now one video is displayed on 5 screens simultaneously. This gives an incredible viewing experience.

  • On the other wall, two 86-inch Clevertouch Impact Max interactive screens have been installed. These displays feature touch-controlled interactive games, allowing children to learn about the topics covered at the Centre in an easier and more engaging way.

  • The new CleverLauncher functionality in the Clevertouch screens was used to set up these stations. CleverLauncher is a welcome screen that can be configured precisely to meet the needs of a particular client or deployment. In this space, the welcome screen only allows you to launch a game, and all other functions are disabled, eliminating the risk of someone accessing the monitor settings or launching a web browser and displaying unwanted content.

  • The CM Pro series digital signage monitors display prepared educational video content. So we have a huge interactive AV space. The whole space has a very multimedia character and will undoubtedly immediately interest any young visitor to the facility, which is precisely the purpose of the monitors used in such places. One of the most interesting materials displayed on these monitors is undoubtedly a film set in a Minecraft-like environment, in which two animated characters, Karlik and Gwarek, take a tour of the engine room. The footage is all the more impressive because it is displayed in a very large format, simultaneously on three monitors working as a video wall.
